Though the very first Arc the Lad was one of the very first RPGs in Japan for the original Sony PlayStation, North American gamers wouldn't see it until the turn of the millennium due to the antics of Bernie Stolar, with Working Designs taking their time bringing the original PlayStation trilogy to the States. This reviewer will admit he's not a fan of the original game's music, composed by Masahiro Andoh, although this soundtrack emphasizes the best tracks of the game, such as the orchestrated main theme of the series and ending themes, with most of the music being character themes. Not all music from the game is present in the soundtrack, but's still worth a listen.
