While the original Super Famicom version of the first Star Ocean game has its share of supporters, many acknowledge it to be an obvious beta, although the enhanced remake on the PlayStation Portable resolved most of its issues. The soundtrack by Motoi Sakuraba also got an uplift, alongside a nice anime theme song by Asunaro, with not a bad track in this album, from energetic battle themes to peaceful town themes, not to mention plenty of cutscene music that represent different moods. Definitely recommended listening.
